Florence M Kistler

Florence M. Kistler, 90, of Kutztown, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Herbert J. Kistler who died November 23, 2009.

Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Paul Seidel and the late Luella (Wisser) widow of Leroy Hess. Mrs. Kistler was a member of New Jerusalem Zion United Church of Christ, Krumsville. She was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Mrs. Kistler was employed as a sewing machine operator, retiring from the former Adidas Shoe Co., Kutztown. She, along with her late husband, was a self employed farmer for 17 years. Mrs. Kistler enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by Son, Roy J., husband of Susan J. (Zettlemoyer) Kistler, Lenhartsville; Daughter, Regina D. (Kistler), wife of Allen C. Kerchner, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County; Sister, Margaret (Seidel) Levan, Hamburg; Brother, Dale Hess, Reading; Grandchildren, Jane A. Rumsey, Philip L. Kerchner, Brock L. Kerchner, Karissa D. Kerchner, Dana L. Kerchner; Great Grandchildren, Remington M. Kistler, Gabriella A. Kerchner, Lillith A. Murdock, and Kyle Seybert; and her four-legged companion, Moose. She was predeceased by a Grandson, Richard C. Kistler in 2004; a Sister, Lucille (Hess) Fegley; and Brothers, Wayne Seidel, and Darwin Hess.

Funeral Services are Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment will follow in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Saturday, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
