Florence A. Miller

Florence A. (Schlott) Miller, 75, of Hamburg, died peacefully, Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, where she was a guest since November 2, 2023.  She was the widow of Douglas H. Miller, who died August 12, 2017.  Born in Emmaus, Florence was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Dorothy L. (Kehm) Schlott.  She was a member of Grace Bible Church of Hawk Mountain, Orwigsburg.

A graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1966, Florence was a homemaker, lovingly caring for her home and family.  Florence had a deep faith and enjoyed attending Bible studies.  She enjoyed the beauty of nature and its many gifts, she especially enjoyed photographing butterflies and hummingbirds.  Florence was a great baker and many enjoyed her baked treats.

Florence is survived by a son Douglas D., husband of Nicole E. (DeBeck) Miller, Temple; a step daughter, Suzanne (Miller) Belmonte, Seminole, Florida; four grandchildren: Jossie Miller, Josiah Miller, Katlyn Belmonte Collinsworth, and Anthony Belmonte; There are also several great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, Douglas and parents, Florence was predeceased by a daughter, April Dawn Miller on November 3, 1999; sisters, Mae Schlott, Miriam (Schlott) Strohl and brothers, William Schlott and Charles Schlott.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Florence's life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Ben Bailey, officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Grimville.  Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., both times in the Funeral Home.
