Mrs. Fern B. Hoffman

Fern B. (Hunter) Hoffman, 90, formerly of Macungie, died peacefully, Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Abode Care of Allentown, where she was a guest since 2018.  She was the widow of Willard E. Hoffman, who died November 11, 2014.  Born in Hereford Township, Berks County, Fern was a daughter a the late David S. and Bertha A. (Kemp) Hunter.  She was a member of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis.

Fern was a graduate of Boyertown High School.  She was employed in the Laundry at The Lutheran Home at Topton for many years.

Fern enjoyed working in her flower beds and listening to country music.  She was devoted to her faith, a hard worker and enjoyed caring for and helping others.

Fern is survived by her two sons: Michael A., husband of Luevenia (Short) Hoffman, Emmaus; and Timothy J. Hoffman, Allentown.  Other survivors include a granddaughter, Jessica Hoffman.  In addition to her husband, Willard and parents, Fern was predeceased by her sisters, Mae (Hunter) Fritch; Lillian (Hunter) Miller; and brother, Leroy Hunter.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Fern's life will be held privately in Huff's Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis.  There are no public viewing or calling hours.
