Mr. Felipe Vazquez

Felipe Vazquez, 83, of Kutztown, passed away on Saturday December 7, 2024. He was the loving husband of Bertha “Diddy” (Arndt) Vazquez, celebrating 62 years as a couple.

Born in Puerto Rico to the late Felipe and Rosa (Velazquez) Vazquez, Felipe was a jack of all trades but his passion in life was his love of all things cars, from helping many a family or friend with his keen mechanical and auto painting skills, restoration of antique vehicles, attending car shows, to being a major part of the family race team. He enjoyed many evenings watching his favorite sports team, the Philadelphia Phillies with Diddy, family hikes to Hawk Mnts. North Lookout for the fall migration, gazing at the night sky through his telescope, and was known for the secret pork recipe he used at his annual pig roasts.

In addition to his wife Diddy, Felipe is survived by his children, Felipe Vazquez, Hamburg, Lisa Vazquez, Barto, Roberto “Bob” Vazquez, companion of Melissa A. (Pannebecker) Fegely, Kutztown and Michelle Cosentino, companion of Brett Riegel Blandon; seven grandchildren, Colin, Katrina, Skyler, Damitrio, Emma, Cooper, Karsyn; and three great-grandchildren, Riley Lucas, and Atalaya, He is also survived by his six siblings. Along with his parents, Felipe is predeceased by a granddaughter Amelia A. McCarty, and three siblings.

Those whose lives he touched were graced by his kindness, his marvelous sense of humor and if you were lucky…a song.
A memorial service to celebrate and honor Felipe’s life will be held on Saturday January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA with Dr. Joseph Piscitelli officiating. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
