Fay E. (Dierolf) Shupp, 76, of Topton, entered into eternal rest early Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her loving husband, of nearly 50 years, Oscar W. Shupp predeceased her on October 23, 2008. The two were married on November 1, 1958.
Born in Shamrock, PA, she was the first child of Curvey and Erma (Reinert) Dierolf. She was a 1957 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Fay worked for many years as the church secretary at Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown, where she was also heavily involved in the congregation and social activities. She and her husband notably organized and led the first youth group for the church. Fay was currently a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown. Aside from her dedication to the church, Fay loved music. She frequently visited the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA on her day trips with the "ladies" and was also a fan of the local Uncle Jeffrey radio show.
She is survived by her Son, Richard L., husband of Kathy L. (Deibert) Shupp, Topton; Granddaughter, Stacie L. (Shupp), wife of Michael Cuda, Breinigsville; Grandson, Michael A. Shupp, Stamford, CT; Great Grandson, Nathan P. Cuda, Breinigsville; and Brother, Robert, husband of Patsy Dierolf, Alburtis. She was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Jeremiah A. Sassaman officiating. Interment will follow in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
