Evelyn K Schoedler

Evelyn K. Schoedler, 88, formerly of Topton, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in the Kutztown Manor, Kutztown, where she had been a resident since May 2009. She was the wife of the late Earl G. Schoedler who died in 1989.

Born in Maxatawny Township, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Edna (Trexler) Deisher. She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Zion’s Union Church, Maxatawny. She was a 1938 graduate of Kutztown High School, Kutztown. She was a laborer at the former General Seating, Topton, and worked in the cleaning department at the Kutztown Foundry, Kutztown, retiring in 1997. She was a member and past president of the former Longswamp VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by Daughter, Carol A. (Schoedler) wife of Forrest V. Schweitzer, Merritt Island, FL; Son, Dale E. husband of Gayle L. (Wittman) Schoedler, Macungie; Sister, Anna (Deisher) wife of Richard Druckenmiller, Topton; Brothers, Clair Deisher and Carl Deisher, both of Topton; Grandchildren, Adam, Sara C. and Hiliary E. Schweitzer and Aaron and Kelsey Schoedler; and Great Grandson, Owyn Schweitzer.

Funeral Services are Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
