Evelyn E Kaufman

Evelyn E. (Armentrout) Kaufman, age 92, of formerly of Kutztown, died June 1, 2016, in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where she was a resident since 2012. Evelyn was the widow of Robert J. Kaufman, who died September 14, 1991.

Born in Broadway, VA, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Helen T. (Shirkey) Armentrout. Mrs. Kaufman was employed as a clerk at the Toll House Shoppes, Sinking Spring, until her retirement in 2005. Prior to that she worked in the gift shop at the Reading Motor Inn.

She is survived by Daughter, Bonnie J. (Kaufman) wife of Kenneth W. Price, Macungie; Son, Kenneth R. husband of Donna L. (Graeff) Heffner, Bernville. Other survivors include a Sister, Elaine M. (Armentrout) widow of Newton Gentry, Harrisonburg, VA; a Brother Ralph L. husband of Joyce (Budden) Armentrout, Topton. There are 3 Grandchildren, Steven M. Root, Gary and Cynthia Heffner; Step Grandchildren, Danielle, wife of Craig Englehart and Tim, husband of Tracy Pajski; Step Great Grandchildren, Tyler Pajski, Nicholas and Cassandra Englehart. In addition to her husband, Robert, Mrs. Kaufman was predeceased by Sons, Ronald C. Heffner in 2010 and Donald N. Heffner in 1987.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. There is no public viewing.
