Eva M Bauer

Eva M. Bauer, 87, of East Main Street, Kutztown, PA, died Tuesday, November 9, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest (Salisbury Township) where she had been a patient since November 4th. She was the wife of the late Stanley E. Bauer who died in January of 1967.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry V. and the late Vesta A. M. (Gerhart) Shoemaker. She was the proprietor of the former Lincoln Tavern, Kutztown, from 1957 to 1976. She was a sales clerk at the former Allen Hardware, Allentown, from 1976 until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of Longswamp UCC Church, Mertztown.

She is survived by Son, Donald R. Bauer, Mertztown; Brothers, Harold P. Shoemaker, Mertztown, Carl W. Shoemaker, Wescoesville; 4 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Friday, November 12, 2004 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

The family requests contributions to the Longswamp UCC Church Memorial Fund, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, PA 19539. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
