Eva M. Day

Eva M. (Keller) Day, 95, of Rockland Township, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, April 3, 2025, in her home. She was the widow of Oscar W. Day, Sr., who died November 23, 2007. Born in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County, Eva was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Ruth (Glauser) Keller. She formerly attended Kingdom Hall, Kutztown, as a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Eva worked for many years as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing Company, Alburtis, then at several other sewing factories in the area. She also worked as a folder in the laundry at The Lutheran Home at Topton, for many years, working into her late 80's.

Eva enjoyed reading and going to yard sales, however caring for her large family was her priority and brought her great joy.

Eva is survived by her eleven children: Ellen R. (Day) Ollar, Fleetwood; Dorothy H. (Day), widow of Richard K. Getz, Sr., Killeen, TX; Shirley A. (Day), wife of Larry L. Erb, Alburtis; Betty M. (Day), wife of Kent M. Schnader, Fleetwood; Doris D. (Day), wife of Robert F. Engelman, Kutztown; Dolly D. (Day), wife of Edward C. Faith, Port Clinton, Schuylkill County; Susan E. (Day) widow of Thomas Michak, Fogelsville; Oscar W. Day, Jr., husband of Cheryl (Christman) Day, Fleetwood; JoAnn L. (Day) Good, Reading; Eva J. (Day) Dey, Oley; Steven A. Day, Fleetwood, companion of Melissa Herber, Oley; and grandson (who was raised by Eva), David E. Todt, companion Damaris Rivera, Moselem Springs; There are 22 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother, Martin Keller, Laureldale. In addition to her parents, her husband Oscar, Sr., Eva was predeceased by a sister Helen (Keller) widow of John Franklin; and a brother, Leon Keller.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Eva's life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
