Mr. Eugene Frantz Jakiela

Eugene Frantz Jakiela, 86, of Albany Township, and formerly of Edison, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

Born in Hungary, Eugene was a son of the late Julius and Augusta (Rothdeutsch) Jakiela. After immigrating from Germany to America in 1951, Eugene honorably and faithfully served in the United States Army. It was while he was stationed in Germany, Eugene met the love of his life, Martha (Mützel) Jakiela, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage together. While living in New Jersey, Eugene was employed by National Can Corporation, NJ.

Along with his beloved wife, Martha, Eugene is survived by his two children, Eugene John Jakiela, and his fiancé, Theresa Zannelli, Nazareth, PA, and Mary Ann Jakiela, Red Bank, NJ; two grandchildren, Caleb Jakiela and Esther Trauger; and a great-great granddaughter, Lily.

Services for Eugene will be held privately by his family.
