Esther M Shoemaker

Esther M. Shoemaker, age 94, of Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown PA, formerly of 307 East Weis Street, Topton PA, died Friday, November 23, 2001 in her home. She was the Widow of the late Leon P. Shoemaker who died in 1946.

Born in Rockland Township, Berks County PA, she was the Daughter of the late Daniel and Addie (Conrad) Gambler. She was a Domestic Worker in the local area for over 20 years. She was a Member of the Reformed Congregation of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis PA.

She is survived by her Daughter, Lillian R. (Shoemaker) Kemp of Topton PA; Sisters, Neida (Gambler) Gunkle of Allentown PA, Grace (Gambler) Miller of Alburtis PA and Arlene (Gambler) Miller of Leesport PA; Brother, Daryle Gambler of Macungie PA; Step Brother, Amandus Gambler of Oley PA; 1 Grandson, 2 Great Grandsons and 1 Great Great Grandson.

A Graveside Service and Interment will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2001 in the Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown PA. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Topton PA.
