Esther M Jost

Esther M. Jost, 95, of Topton, formerly of Shillington, died Monday, March 12, 2012 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she had been a resident since 1999. She was the widow of Harry E. V. Jost, who died August 23, 1984.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Ribble) Weber. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Shillington, where she participated in many church activities. Mrs. Jost was a1934 graduate of the former Shillington High School. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jost was a past member of the Shillington Womans Club, Reading Society of Model Engineers, and a past Campfire Girl Coordinator and volunteer.

She is survived by Daughters, Gene L. (Jost) wife of Robert H. Wentzel, Allentown, Mary Ellen (Jost) widow of Randy J. Heiser, Phoenixville; Brother, Paul E., widower of Ruth (Trout) Weber, Temple; 3 Grandchildren, Jay M. Wentzel, companion of Roxanne M. Phillips, April L. Heiser, and Kimberly M. (Heiser) wife of Stephen N. DiGioia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a Sister, Dorothy M. (Weber) Kutzler.

Funeral Services are Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM from Grace Lutheran Church, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. Friends may call Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in the church.
