Ernest L Angstadt

Ernest L. Angstadt, 88, of Maxatawny Township, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Marion L. (Wack) Angstadt. They were married 69 years this month.

Born in Maxatawny Township, he was a son of the late Kuney E. and Arline D. (Trexler) Angstadt. Mr. Angstadt was a member of Lutheran congregation of Zions Union Church, Maxatawny. He was a self-employed farmer for over 65 years in Maxatawny Township. He was also a member of the Kutztown Fire Company, Kutztown and Kempton Rod & Gun Club’s, Pike Township Sportsmens Association and formerly served on the board of the Lutheran Home at Topton for 10 years.

He is survived by Wife, Sons, Dale R. widower of Linda A. (Chaks) Angstadt, Gansevoort, NY, Ernest K., husband of Deborah A. (Nicholas) Angstadt, Kutztown; Son-in-law, Jeff Jackson, Ozark, AL widower of predeceased Daughter, Diane L. (Angstadt) Jackson. Other survivors include Sisters, Laila A. (Angstadt) Loch, and Lennia A. (Angstadt) Mertz, both of Kutztown. There are also 2 Grandsons, Jarrod S. Angstadt, Conroe, TX and Jeremy E. Angstadt, Kutztown, 2 Step Grandsons, Travis and Jered Jackson and 4 Step Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Zion Union Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, 19530. Interment will follow in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church.
