Erma L Hess

Erma L. (Weller) Hess, 76, of Heilman House, Topton, died Saturday, March 20, 2010. She was the widow of Robert W. “Ziggy” Hess who died May 17, 2002.

Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Emmanuel and Esther (Alexander) Weller. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville. She was a member of Lions Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She worked 35 years as a sewing machine operator at the former Katos Sportswear, Kutztown and other various factories in the Kutztown area.

She is survived by Brothers, Lloyd E. husband of Minnie (Derr) Weller, Alburtis, William C. husband of Dorothy (Nester) Weller, Macungie, Paul J. husband of Barbara (Spears) Weller, Barto, Ralph S. Weller, Topton, Russell C. husband of Malveen (Gambler) Weller, Mertztown and Carl L. Weller, Mertztown. She was predeceased by a Sister, Arlene (Weller) Hess and Brothers, Warren E. and Herbert Weller.

Memorial Services are Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 2:00 PM in Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood. Inurnment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the church.
