Erma I Kocher

Erma I. (Kline) Kocher, 89, of Mertztown, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in Emeritus Assisted Living, Allentown, where she was a resident since February, 2013. She was the widow of Wayne W. Kocher, who died November 29, 2008.

Born in Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Ella (Reinert) Kline. Mrs. Kocher was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. She worked at the former Wenton Shoe Factory, Kutztown. Erma enjoyed word search puzzles and building puzzles.

She is survived by Daughters, Carole A. (Moyer), wife of Earl L. Morris, Rockland Township, and Gloria J. (Kocher), wife of Carl L. Zimmerman, Topton. There are also 4 Grandchildren, Tammy Kerchner, Bud Morris, David Zimmerman, Melissa Vazquez; 8 Great Grandchildren, and one Great-Great Granddaughter. She was predeceased by a Sister, Mary Bennicoff; Step Sister, Margaret Grim; and Step Brother, Elwood Kline.

Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Huffs Church Union Cemetery, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. There are no calling hours.

The family requests contributions be made to Huff’s Union Church Memorial Fund, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
