Erma A Knabb

Erma A. Knabb, 89, of Greenwich Township, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Nevin P. Knabb who died December 20, 1974.

Born in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh Co., she was a daughter of the late Arthur W. and Annie C. (Ziegler) Barto. Mrs. Knabb was a member of the UCC congregation of Zions Union Church, Maxatawny. She was employed as a cashier at the former Terrys Place, New Smithville for several years. Prior to that, she and her husband owned and operated the former Springside Inn, Greenwich Township, from 1970 to 1975. She and her husband also owned and operated N. P. Knabb Inc., Turkey Farm, Kempton for 10 years. Mrs. Knabb enjoyed sewing, baking, and had a love for the outdoors.

She is survived by Daughters, Linda B. (Knabb) wife of Richard L. Geiring, Fleetwood, and Donna L. (Knabb) wife of Kerry M. Frack, Bath, Northampton Co.; Son, Donald L. husband of Florence A. (Billiard) Knabb, Kutztown; Brother-in-laws, John R. Knabb, Maxatawny, and Alfred P. Knabb, New Ringgold, Schuylkill Co.; Sister-in-laws, June P. (Knabb) Bruno, Kutztown, and Eleanor P. (Knabb) Sechler, Strausstown, 8 Grandchildren, and 14 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a Sister, Leola A. Snyder; Brothers, Samuel W. Barto, Forrest D. Barto, Ray R. Barto, and Carl Barto; Sister-in-laws, Rhea M. Siegfried, Helen Manbeck, Grace Haring, Fern Ziegler, and Anne Seidel.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Friends may call Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
