Erin Steffy Bauer, 33, of Phoenixville, and formerly of Fleetwood, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024 after a brave battle against cancer. Born in Reading, PA, Erin was the daughter of James J. Bauer, husband of Daphne L. (Amos) Bauer and Donna L. (Steffy) DeLoretta, wife of Michael J. DeLoretta, Jr., both of Fleetwood.
Erin was a 2008 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School where she was a proud member of the Lady Tigers Girls Basketball Team. Following her high school graduation,
Erin attended Kutztown University where she received her BA degree in Professional Writing. Erin was most recently employed as the Business Development Manager for Del Chevrolet Inc., Paoli, for the past four years. Prior to that, Erin worked in the same capacity and was employed by Del Toyota, Thorndale, for two years.
Erin was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Topton. She coached both middle school and junior varsity girls basketball for the Brandywine Heights School District. Erin was a die-hard fan of the English Premier League, especially the Tottenham Hotspur F.C. She was also an avid New York Yankees and Kentucky Wildcats Mens Basketball fan. She was a movie fanatic and music enthusiast, whose taste spanned all genres and time. Erin loved her family and friends fiercely, and her light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. Her spirit will forever live on in the memories we hold dear, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Along with her mom Donna, dad Jim, step-father Mike, and step-mother Daphne, Erin is survived by her brother, Caleb J. Bauer, fiancé of Jade E. Cortez, Coplay; maternal grandmother, Nancy F. (Keiser) Steffy, Topton; paternal grandmother, Sandra L. (Santai) Bauer, Mertztown; step-grandmother Sue D. (Stamm) Noll; step-siblings, Michael J. DeLoretta, III, husband of Karen (Fix) DeLoretta, Shillington, Meredith L. (DeLoretta) Coyle, wife of Jason S. Coyle, Mohnton, Daniel S. DeLoretta, husband of Tamara D. (Hutzell) DeLoretta, Sinking Spring, Chad A. Evans, husband of Jamie G. (Hamilton) Evans, Mertztown, and Eric H. Evans, husband of Pamela M. (Schweitzer) Evans, Kutztown; her beloved sphinx cat Wheels; as well as many extended relatives who loved and adored her. Erin was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Clyde E. Steffy on February 23, 2007 and paternal grandfather, Donald R. Bauer on November 20, 2020.
A memorial service to celebrate and honor Erin's life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 122 W. Franklin Street, Topton, PA, with The Reverend Crystal Angstadt officiating. The family will greet guests at a Celebration of Life following the service at The Fleetwood Grange, 2864 Moselem Springs Road, Fleetwood, PA.
