Eric Matthew Ritter

Eric Matthew Ritter, 36, of Topton, died unexpectedly in his residence, Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia, he was the son of Allen M. husband of Zora "Zee" (Johnson) Ritter, Roanoke, VA, and Michelle M. (Presperin) wife of Harry W. Kline, Jr., Kutztown.  Eric was a 1997 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School, Topton.  He received a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technology, from Penn State University, Berks – Lehigh Valley College, PA, in 2002. Eric was employed as an Information Technology Specialist for Penn State University, Lehigh Valley Campus, for the past twelve years, last working Friday, March 11, 2016.  Eric was a gaming enthusiast, Star Wars fan, and a lifelong student of history. He was a brother, son and friend to everyone who knew him – known as the life of the party, a rock of stability in times of need, and he never failed to find unique and beautiful ways to show his friends and family how much he cared for them. He is survived by Parents, and Step Parents; Sister Danielle “Dani” M. Ritter, Phoenixville, Chester County, PA; Step Sister, Heather (Belk) wife of Keith Hunley, Roanoke, VA; Step Brothers, Chris H. husband of Suzanne R. (Schramm) Kline, Blandon; John Thomas Belk, fiancé of Valeria M. Vidal, Chesapeake Beach, MD.  Other survivors include Nephews, Jeffrey W. Kline, Skyler Hunley and Wyatt Hunley, other extended family and friends.

Private interment will take place in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. A Memorial Celebration of Eric's Life will be announced in the future.
