Enos M. Burkholder

Enos M. Burkholder, 75, of Richmond Township, died Friday, June 22, 2018, in his home surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Mabel H. (Good) Burkholder, whom he married January 30, 1964. Born July 24, 1942, in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Samuel O. and Magdalena W. (Martin) Burkholder.  Mr. Burkholder was a member of the Groffdale Conference of Mennonites and attended the Fleetwood Old Order Mennonite Church, Richmond Township. He was a self employed farmer.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Mabel, Enos is survived by a son, Ethan G., husband of Anita W. (Shirk) Burkholder, Fleetwood; daughters, Ina G. (Burkholder), wife of Titus B. Nolt, Fleetwood; Orpha G. (Burkholder), wife of Nelson B. Zimmerman, Stevens, Lancaster County; and Beulah G. (Burkholder), wife of Glenn B. Zimmerman, Sharon Grove, KY.  Other survivors include brothers, Aidin M., husband of Frances Z. (Hoover) Burkholder, Fleetwood; Samuel R., husband of Anna Mary R. (Hoover) Burkholder, Ephrata; Lewis M., husband of Jane Z. (Martin) Burkholder, Shippensburg; sisters, Jane M. (Burkholder), wife of Floyd M. Nolt, New Holland; Lucy M. (Burkholder), widow of Ivan G. Hoover, Jr., Ephrata; Nora M. (Burkholder), wife of Harvey Z. Hoover, East Earl; Clara M. (Burkholder), wife of Elam R. Hoover, Dundee, NY; Martha M. Burkholder, Ephrata.  There are 30 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Enos was predeceased by a daughter, Julia G. Burkholder in 1997; and a sister, Alma M. (Burkholder), wife of Luke M. Nolt, Ephrata.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. from Fleetwood Mennonite Church, Richmond Township, with Bishop Eli W. Burkholder, officiating.  Interment in Fleetwood Mennonite Church Cemetery.  A viewing will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at the home of Enos' son, Ethan G. Burkholder, 14034 Kutztown Road, (Richmond Township) Fleetwood.
