Emily T Reynolds

Emily T. (Squadra) Reynolds, 86, formerly of Mertztown, died Friday, October 9, 2015, at 3:50 p.m. in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Wallace J. Reynolds who died in 1990.

Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Enrico L. and Mary (Ludington) Squadra. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Kutztown. Mrs. Reynolds was a graduate of Pelham Memorial High School, Pelham, NY. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from New York University, NYC, NY.  She was employed by the Pelham Public Schools, Pelham, NY for 25 years, retiring in 1985.

She is survived by Daughter, Victoria (Fay) wife of Randy Shellhammer, Mertztown, PA; Son, Kenneth E., husband of Kristine A. (Fabbioli) Fay, Naperville, IL; Step Children, Mark E. Reynolds, Escondido, CA, Adele S. Justis, Katy, TX, Marilyn E. Gottfredson, Horseshoe Bay, TX, Margaret D’Avanzo, New Fairfield, CT, Lynda Reynolds Mehne, Katy, TX, and Jean M. Poirier, Modena, NY. Other survivors include, Grandchildren, Scott and Mark Shellhammer, Elizabeth and Andrew Fay; Brother, John H. Squadra, Belfast, ME and Step-brother Stephen Sohmer, New York City, NY. She was pre-deceased by a Step-daughter, Nancy E. McIllhenny.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.

The family requests contributions be made in Emily's memory to the Brandywine Community Library, 60 Tower Drive, Topton, PA  19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
