Elton N. Dietrich, 80, of Wentz Street, Kutztown, died Thursday, August 31, 2006, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp., near Allentown. He was the widower of Jean L. (Nicholas) Dietrich who died March 6, 2005.
Born in Kutztown, PA, he was a son of the late Edgar S. and Katie P. (Leiby) Dietrich. He was first a self employed dairy and crop farmer in Greenwich Twp., from 1946 to 1962. He then was an assembler at the former Pinnicle Corporation, Fleetwood from 1962 until his retirement in 1991. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Kutztown Lions Club, Kutztown, and a recent Melvin Jones Fellow. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Greenwich Twp. He was a former member of Dunkel’s Church, where he served on church council for several years. He was currently serving on the Dunkel’s Church Cemetery Board.
He is survived by Sons, Douglas E. husband of Paula J. (Dixon) Dietrich, Kutztown, Brent C. husband of Ann M. (Reppert) Dietrich, Fleetwood. In addition he is survived by grandchildren Dana A., Casey B., Twins Andrew D. and Matthew D., Danielle C., and Ethan T. Dietrich.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich St., Kutztown. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Tuesday, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The family requests contributions to the Kutztown Lions Club, c/o Dennis DeTurk, Treasurer, 615 Dunkel’s Church Road, Kutztown, 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
