Elton P. Muth

Elton P. "Juppy" Muth, 72, of Longswamp Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 17, 2026 in Tower Health - Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Sheeler) Muth, whom he married on July 15, 1989.

Born in Allentown, Juppy was the son of Catherine "Cass" R. (Adam) Muth, of Longswamp Township, and the late Oscar G. Muth, Jr., who died on June 1, 2013. Elton was raised in a family that valued hard work and strong ties to the land. Juppy was a 1972 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton, PA. Over the course of his career, Juppy was employed by various companies including East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons, Jerry Hartman Roofing, and Dennis Gehman Roofing.

Farming was Juppy's true passion. He assisted on his family farm and most recently, he was employed by Vista Grande Farms, LLC., Fleetwood, where he was an equipment operator and assisted on the farm. He enjoyed hauling cattle and other animals to local fairs for his family and friends. He also was a driver for our local Mennonite community.

Along with his wife of nearly 37 years, Nancy, and mother Cass, Juppy is survived by his daughter, Megan L. (Muth), wife of Kyle A. Noss, Longswamp Township; two grandchildren, Harper R. Noss and Amber S. Noss; and his sister, Cathleen "Tutty" R. (Muth), wife of Larry Wisser, Lynnville.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Juppy's life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. Burial will follow in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown (Richmond Township). Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
