Ellen W Martin

Ellen W. Martin, 87, of Bowers, died Saturday, April 28, 2012 in her residence. She was the widow of David S. Martin, who died April 24, 2002.

Born in Caernarvon Township, Lancaster Co., she was a daughter of the late Elam K. and Lydia (Weaver) Martin. She was a member of Center Mennonite Church, Kutztown.

She is survived by Daughters, Verna M. (Martin) wife of Paul W. Sauder, Mertztown, Bertha M. Martin, New Tripoli, Lucy M. (Martin) wife of Edwin R. Martin, Denver, Lancaster Co., Ida M. (Martin) wife of Arlis Koehn, Galva, Kansas; Sons, Eli M. husband of Esther H. (Burkholder) Martin, Greenwich, Ohio, Paul M. husband of Lena (Shirk) Martin, Ephrata, Elvin M. husband of Tammy (Eshbach) Martin, Kutztown, Roy M. husband of Vera (Hurst) Martin, Bowers; Sisters, Elva W. (Martin) Brubaker, Stevens, Lancaster Co., Lydia W. (Martin) Sensenig, Kutztown, Bertha W. (Martin) wife of Elam Leid, Shoemakersville; Brother, Ammon W. Martin, Mifflinburg, Union Co., 29 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a Son, Allen M. Martin on August 14, 1991, 5 Brothers, Aaron W., Harvey, W., Alvin W., Floyd W., and Marvin W. Martin, and 2 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Friday, May 4, 2012 at 9:00 AM from her late residence, with services continuing at Center Mennonite Church, Kutztown, at 9:30 AM Interment in adjoining cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM in her late residence.
