Ellen V. Gangawere, 85, formerly of Pensinger Lane (Longswamp Twp.) Mertztown, died Sunday, February 22, 2004, in Lutheran Home at Topton, where she resided since November 8, 2002. She was married to Paul Gangawere, they were married 58 years last June 2 ^nd .

Born in Greenwich Twp., Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Walter R. and the late Lillie (Schappell) Sunday. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville.

She is survived by Husband; Son, Richard A. Gangawere, Mertztown; Daughters, Doris J. (Gangawere) Williams, Mertztown, Doris J. (Gangawere) Williams, Mertztown; Sisters, Hattie R. (Sunday) Rentschler, Hamburg, Jane L. (Sunday) Treichler, Kutztown, Jean A. (Sunday) Wetzel, Kutztown; Brother, Howard J. Sunday, Lititz; 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services are Thursday, February 25, 2004, 10:30 AM from Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Rd., Dryville. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Wednesday 7:00 PM to 8:30 AM at the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
