Ellen Mary Magazino

Ellen Mary Magazino, 90, of Blue Bird Lane, Lenhartsville, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Dominick J. Magazino who died in January of 1964.

Born in Philadelphia, PA she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Carmela (D’Angelcola) Papiro. She was a member or St. Mary’ Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg. She was a graduate of Holy Family Commercial School in 1935; and in 1937 she received an associate’s degree in bookkeeping from Strayers Business College, now Strayers University, both of Philadelphia. She was a billing clerk for 15 years for the Pennsylvania Railroad, working at the 30 ^th Street Station, Philadelphia. She was a member of the Kutztown Area Senior Citizens and served as their secretary for 18 years. In 1966, following the death of her husband two years prior, she professed her vows according to the Third Order Dominican Sisters of Philadelphia and remained a faithful member until her death.

She is survived by Sons, Joseph H. Magazino, Lenhartsville, Dominic J. husband of Caroline M. (Garry) Magazino, Glenside, Montgomery County; Daughter, Anne Marie C. (Magazino) Undercuffler, Kutztown; Sister, Lucy (Papiro) widow of John B. Salerno, Skippack, Montgomery County; Granddaughter, Angela C. Undercuffler, Lancaster. She was predeceased by Sister, Mary (Papiro) Fiori and Brothers George Papiro and Hugo Papiro.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church. Prayers will be recited at 8:15 PM Wednesday evening in the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
