Ellen M Jensen

Ellen M. Jensen, 89, of Whitehall Township, PA, formerly of North Arlington, New Jersey, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall Twp., where she had been a resident since 2008. She was the widow of Henry Jensen, who died March 11, 1987.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late George B. and Ellen M. (Larson) Bergstrom. Mrs. Jensen was a member of First Lutheran Church, Kearny, NJ. She was a 1941 graduate of Henry Snyder High School, Jersey City, NJ. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jensen was a member of the Woman’s Club and a Girl Scout leader in North Arlington, NJ, for many years. She was also a member and past treasurer of her bowling league in North Arlington, NJ. Ellen enjoyed hooking rugs, reading, making crafts, and word search puzzles.

She is survived by Daughter, Nancy E. J. (Jensen) wife of Rev. Randall A. Grossman, Reading, PA; Granddaughters, Miriam E. (Grossman) wife of Gregory Fairbanks, Reading, PA, and Sarah K. Grossman fiancé of David A. Coles, San Francisco, CA., and Great Grandchildren, Adrienne Joy and Gavin Gregory Fairbanks.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to Fellowship Manor, 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall, PA 18052. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
