Elizabeth Hutcheson

Elizabeth "Liz" Christine Hutcheson, 88, a resident of Grand View Manor, Fleetwood, and formerly of Mt. Penn, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 in Complete Care at Lehigh.

Born in Coolboy, Ireland, Elizabeth (Liz) was a daughter of the late Peter and Rosanna (Kilbride) Mulhall. Liz later moved to England and following the birth of her two children, Gloria and Derek, she and her family moved to the United States. She worked as a waitress at The Greenery at Boscov's and as a Nurse's Aide at St. Michaels Convent. Elizabeth was employed by The Reading Hospital where she worked in Centran as a Transporter for 27 years until her retirement in 2009.

Liz had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone, whether family, friend, or stranger. She had a deep love for animals and earned a "Career Diploma" from Penn Foster as a Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor. She would pet sit for many families and treated each pet with care and love as if they were her own. Liz was an active volunteer and advocate for the Berks County Humane Society (now called Humane Pennsylvania). She was blessed with a grandson, whom she loved more than life itself. Liz was the proudest "Nana" in the world.

As we remember Liz, let us celebrate her remarkable spirit, her compassion, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. She will forever remain in our hearts.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Hutcheson), wife of Brian K. Christ, Kutztown, and brother, Ned Mulhall, Ireland. She was also the proud "Nana" to her grandson, Connor J. Christ. Along with her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her son, Derek C. Hutcheson and 10 siblings.

A visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate and honor her life at 7:00 p.m officiated by The Rev. MaryAnn Hamm.
