Eleanor M Smith

Eleanor M. Smith, 76, of E. Walnut Street, Kutztown, died Sunday, November 16, 2003, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was married to LeRoy K. Smith for 55 years last May.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of Homer A. Moyer of Topton and the late Jennie I. (Snyder) Moyer. She was the office manager and purchasing agent for the former Deysher's Knitting Mill and the former Kleinert's, both of Kutztown. Previously, she worked in similar capacities for other area manufacturing firms. Prior to that, she was a beautician in several area beauty salons during the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was a 1978 graduate of Empire Beauty School, Allentown. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

She is survived by Husband; Father; Son, Kenneth R. of Kutztown; Daughter, Pamela R. Schade of Cleveland, Tenn.; Brother, Charles R. of Kutztown; Sisters, Joyce I. Leibensperger, Sandra A. Hartman and Brenda J. Bucks, all of Kutztown, Sharlene A. Stauffer of Oley; 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. There are no calling hours.

The family requests contributions be made to Saint John’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
