Eleanor J Knabb

Eleanor J. (Noll) Knabb, 86, of Maxatawny Township, died suddenly May 21, 2015, shortly after arrival at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, after being stricken in her home. She was the wife of John R. Knabb, Sr., whom she married March 29,1952.

Born in Ruscombmanor Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late David U. and Emmalina L. (Schmehl) Noll. Mrs. Knabb was a member of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny.  Eleanor and her husband John were the owners and operators of John R. Knabb & Sons Farm, Maxatawny. Eleanor enjoyed singing, playing guitar and tending her plants.

She is survived by Husband of 63 years, John; Daughters, twins Sheila L. Knabb, Kutztown and Cheryl Knabb, North Carolina, Lisa M. (Knabb) wife of Joseph Walker, Kutztown; Son, John R. Knabb, Jr., Kutztown; Daughter-in-law, Donna L. (Wertman) Knabb, Kutztown, widow of predeceased son, Steve A. Knabb, who died November 28, 2014. Other Survivors include a Sister, Arline (Noll) McMenamin, Peoria, Ill.; 6 Grandchildren and one Great Granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM from Zion's Union Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, with Reverend Jeffrey J. Butz, officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Tuesday evening, May 26, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.  There will be no viewing on Wednesday in the church.
