E. Christine Hosley

Elaine Christine "Chris" Hosley, 87, formerly of Elmira, NY, entered eternal life on February 20, 2026, at the home of her loving granddaughter, Megan Davis and her husband, Gregory Davis, who provided steadfast and unwavering care for Chris, while she was surrounded by her great grandchildren to provide comfort, laughter, and of course, loving care, Sadie Davis, Halie Davis and Gavin Davis. Chris was born on May 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Milton H. Cross and Francis A. (Brown) Bullock.

Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Hosley. She is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, John (Angela) Hosley; her daughter, JoAnne Seymore; her cherished grandchildren, Charles Wakefield, Jennifer Harris, Megan Davis, Stacey Hosley, Alexander Wheeler, Christina Hosley, Lois Hosley, and Richard Divine III; as well as many great-grandchildren. 

A woman of quiet strength and dedication, Chris devoted her life to the education and support of others. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mansfield University with a master's degree in psychology and went on to serve as a psychologist and part-time professor at Corning Community College for many years. Her professional achievements reflected her commitment to helping others grow and thrive.

Chris will be laid to rest alongside her husband on March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
