Eileen Stinley

Eileen G. Stinley, 68, died June 5, 2025, in her home on Main Street Oley, PA, surrounded by her adoring family. She was the loving wife of M. James Stinley, whom she married April 11, 1981. Born in Abington, Montgomery County, on September 6, 1956, to James and Dolores (Duffy) Haney. Eileen was a 1975 graduate of William Tennent High School and a 2006 graduate of Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts with a degree in Interior Design.

She was a self-employed interior designer as well as a space planner for Lastick Furniture & Floor Coverings before retiring as a House Coordinator of Clyde F. Barker Transplant House, in 2020. Eileen was the host of the annual Oley Fair Cook-off established in 1987. She was a veracious reader, reflected in her extensive vocabulary. Eileen loved to travel with her friends and family. Her true calling and greatest joy was being a loving mother and grandmother.

Eileen is survived by her six adoring children: Dr. Nora E. (Stinley) Chenoweth, wife of Jeffrey P. Chenoweth; James M. Stinley, husband of Christine M. (Igo) Stinley; Thomas H. Stinley, husband of Colie W. (Watts) Stinley; Kathleen D. Stinley; Michael T. Stinley, husband of Connor L. (D'Albora) Stinley; and Mark M. Stinley, husband of Margo A. (Reed) Stinley. Eileen is also survived by eight amazing grandchildren: George H. Chenoweth (6); Margaret A. Chenoweth (3); James I. Stinley (9); Evelyn M. Stinley (7); Scott S. Wagner (7); Gayle E. Wagner (4); Cillian M. Stinley (2); and Malachi T. Stinley (4 months).

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 14th from 11am - 3 pm at Stokesay Castle, 141 Stokesay Castle Ln, Reading, PA 19606.
