Edna M Mengel

Edna M. Mengel, 89, of West Main Street, Kutztown (Kutztown Borough), died Saturday, January 8, 2005, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Salisbury Twp., near Allentown, where she was a patient since January 3, 2005.

Born in Rockland Twp., Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edwin A. and the late Cora R. (Hertzog) Mengel. She was a laborer at the former Wenton Shoe Factory, Kutztown, until her retirement in 1980. Prior to that she worked at the Topton Silk Mill in Topton. She was a member of the Kutztown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Kutztown. She was Lutheran.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are Thursday, January 13, 2005, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. (Rockland Twp.). Friends may call 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
