Edna M. DeLong, 85, of Lyon Station, PA, died Sunday, September 12, 2004, in Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville, MD, where she was admitted one day earlier from the National Lutheran Home, Rockville, MD. She was married to the late Kermit Z. DeLong, who died April 19, 1990.
Born in Rockland Twp., Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Milton W. and Agnes B. (Heffner) Herbein. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Lyon Station, the Topton Senior Citizens Group, Topton, and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Janet Montgomery Chapter, Rockville, MD. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville, where she also served on the Pastoral Care Team.
She is survived by Daughters, Rosalie A. (DeLong) wife of William L. Jacques, Rockville, MD, with whom she resided for the past 4 years, Sherry L. (DeLong) wife of Richard G. Migliore, Hershey, PA; Sister, Annie (Herbein) widow of Harold Reinert, Goshen, Indiana; 3 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Friday, September 17, 2004, at 1:30 PM from Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Dryville. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Friday, 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
