Edgar C Lutz

Edgar C. Lutz, 78, of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton where he had been a resident since February of 2002, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, in the residence of his daughter, Nancy E. Hopkins, on Loghouse Road, Zionsville, (Hereford Township). He was the husband of Lorene E. (Schaeffer) Lutz of Kutztown, PA. They were married 49 years on May 21 ^st .

Born in Jefferson Township, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late Lammas N. and the late Mabel (Hartman) Lutz. He was an electrical engineer for Allied Chemical Company, Teterboro, NJ from 1980 until his retirement in 1990. Prior to that he held the same position at the former Radio Corporation of America (RCA), Camden, NJ from 1955 to 1972. He was a 1952 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a US Navy veteran.

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Arlan E. Lutz, Hollywood, FL, Mark A. Lutz, Center Valley, PA; Daughters, Nancy E. (Lutz) Hopkins, Zionsville, Hereford Township (Longhouse Road), Cynthia A. (Lutz) Kellogg, Oyster Bay, NJ, Deborah L. (Lutz) Silverstein, Baltimore, MD; Sister, Jennie M. Lutz, Wernersville; 9 Grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Sunday, July 18, 2004 at 3:00 PM from Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, 40 Church Road, Bernville, 19506. Private interment at the convenience of the family in the church cemetery. No calling hours.

The family requests contributions to the Memorial Fund of the church or Hospice St. John, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
