Earl R Romig

Earl R. Romig, 76, of East Main Street, Kutztown, died Friday, October 28, 2005, in the family residence. He was the husband of Mae D. (Greenawald) Romig, they were married November 3, 1951.

Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Harlan S. and the late Ella (Master) Romig. He was an electrician for AT&T, Muhlenberg Twp, now Lucent, for 32 years until his retirement in 1987. He was a 1946 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the American Legion and Kutztown Fire Company. He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church, Kutztown, where he was a deacon.

He is survived by Wife, Sons, Jack R. husband of M. Camille (Eaton) Romig, Barto (Hereford Twp.), Scott T. Romig, Hamburg, James M. husband of Laura Q. (Broh) Romig, Norristown; Daughter, Bonnie L. (Romig) wife of Timothy E. Swavely, Topton; Sister, Ruby (Romig) wife of Harold Shoemaker, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.), Kutztown; 5 Grandsons.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, November 2, 2005, 11:00 AM from Saint Paul’s UCC Church, 47-51 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown. Inurnment is private at the convenience of the family in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood (Maidencreek Twp.). Friends may call, Wednesday, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions to be made to the memorial fund of Saint Paul’s UCC Church, 47-51 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown 19530 or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
