Earl F Hilbert

Earl F. Hilbert, 87, formerly of Jefferson Street, Mertztown (Longswamp Township), died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in The Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton, where he had been a resident since January 22, 2001. He was the husband of Marie K. (Levan) Hilbert also of the Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late George M. and the late Cora (Kauffman) Hilbert. He worked in the receiving department at the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, for 42 years retiring in 1980. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.

He is survived by Wife, Son, Clyde G. Hilbert, Mertztown; Daughter, Shirley J. (Hilbert) Smith, Reading; Sister, Corrine (Hilbert) Smith, Mertztown; 3 Granddaughters.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Interment with Military Honors in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
