Douglas W Mertz

Douglas W. Mertz, 37, of Lake Road, Fleetwood (Rockland Township), died Tuesday, November 15, 2005, in Florence, Kentucky. He was the husband of Melinda S. (Brown) Mertz. They were married on May 11, 1991.

Born in West Reading, PA, he was the son of Donna E. (Minch) Mertz of Exeter Township and the late Dennis W. Mertz. He was an IT manager for over a year at the Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati, Ohio; and, prior to that he worked for nine years in the same capacity at the Summit Bank and Brokerage (now Bank of America), Bethlehem. He was a 1986 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School, Fleetwood, and a 1988 graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown, with a degree in electronics.

He is survived by Wife, Mother, Son, Jared D. Mertz, at home; Daughter, Natalie C. Mertz, at home; Sister, Stacy L. (Mertz) Guistwite, Hanover (York County); Paternal Grandmother, Elizabeth S. (Wartzenluft) Mertz, Kutztown.

Funeral Services are Saturday, November 20, 2005 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
