Dorothy W Schnabel

Dorothy W. Schnabel, 90, of Kutztown, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township .

Born in Allentown , she was a daughter of late Henry M. and Beatrice M. (Cummings) Schnabel. Miss Schnabel was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. Miss Schnabel was employed in the housekeeping department by Kutztown Manor, Inc., for several years. Prior to that, she worked for the former Great American Knitting Mills, Bally; as an embosser for the former General Seating and Sash Co., Topton, for five years; and as a weaver for the former Rayflex Manufacturing Co., Red Hill, for 26 years. Miss Schnabel was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, and enjoyed word search puzzles .

She is survived by Sister, Florence L., widow of Charles P. Moser, Kutztown; Brother, John T., widower of Loretta M. (Jones) Schnabel, Red Hill; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Sisters, Mary R. (Schnabel) Walter in 2013, Hilda M. Schnabel in 2006, and a Brother, Henry J. Schnabel in 2010 .

Graveside Services and inurnment will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery, 610 Pine Street, Bally, with Reverend Monsignor Walter T. Scheaffer officiating. There is no viewing .

The family requests that contributions be made to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, PA 19530 . Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
