Dorothy M Lesher

Dorothy M. (Bower) Lesher, 96, of Allentown, formerly of Topton and Kutztown, died Friday, November 7, 2014 in Manor Care, Allentown, where she was a resident for 13 years. She was the widow of LeRoy J. Lesher, who died March 27, 1987.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late William Y. and Mary S. (Long) Bower. Mrs. Lesher was a faithful member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She was employed as a housekeeper by The Lutheran Home at Topton from 1969 to 1983. Mrs. Lesher was a long-time member of the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Topton.

She is survived by Daughter, Nancy Ann (Lesher), wife of Ervin Miller, Breinigsville; Sons, William H., husband of Glenda (Morris) Lesher, Little Rock, AK, LeRoy J., Jr., husband of Marie (Wetzel) Lesher, Macungie, Michael E., husband of Judy (Musser) Lesher, Lyon Station; Daughter-in-law, Joanne W. (Hausman) Lesher, widow of predeceased Son, Leonard L. Lesher, who died on December 13, 1994; 16 Grandchildren; 25 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Mary Ann Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
