Dorothy M Greis

Dorothy M. (Shade) Greis, 81, of Maxatawny Township, died Friday, August 22, 2008 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of John E. Greis who died September 28, 2006.

Born in Rockland Township, Berks County she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Rothermel) Shade. She was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township. She was employed in the dietary department at The Lutheran Home at Topton for over 10 years. She was a member of Pioneer Grange #1777, Topton and the Ladies Auxiliary of Lyons Fire Company, No.1, Lyon Station.

She is survived by Daughters, Lucille K. (Greis) wife of George O. Hebel, Allentown, Melinda D. (Greis) wife of Robert J. Tercha, Mertztown; Son, Marlowe K. husband of Brenda L. (Yoder) Greis, at home; Sister, Mildred (Shade) Reinert, Fleetwood; 4 Grandchildren, Richard A. Hebel, Geoffrey A. Hebel, Amy L. Kope and Matthew C. Bennecoff. She was predeceased by a Daughter, Theresa S. (Greis) Bennecoff in 2007, and Brothers, Elton Shade and Raymond Turner.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township. Friends may call Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Tuesday, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
