Dorothy E Hilbert

Dorothy E. (Sechler) Hilbert, 91, a resident of The Buehrle Center, Topton, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of LeRoy J. Hilbert, who died October 5, 1993 .

Born in Wescosville, she was a daughter of the late Albert L. and Lizzie M.A. (Yeager) Sechler.  Mrs. Hilbert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. She was employed as a seamstress by the former Marcus Manufacturing, Topton, for 25 years, retiring in 1988. Mrs. Hilbert was also a lifetime member of the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton.  She was an avid Phillies fan and loved to read books .

She is survived by Sons, LeRoy J. Hilbert, Jr., widower of Bonnie Hilbert, Fleetwood, Timothy C., husband of Debra (Bard) Hilbert, Fort Washington; Grandchildren, Angela Combest, Lindsay May, Jared Hilbert, and Kyle Hilbert; and one Great Grandson, Samuel May.

A private funeral service is planned for Wednesday, March 25, 2015. A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life is tentatively planned for Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 S. Home Avenue, Topton. Celebration to be followed by a luncheon. Those planning to attend should confirm the date and time with her son, Timothy at Coachhil@comast.net or by phone 215-542-7163 .

The family requests contributions be made in Dorothy's memory to  Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 37, Topton, PA  19562-0037 . Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
