Mrs. Dorothy A. Kaufman

Dorothy A. (Heater) Kaufman, 99, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Living Branches – Souderton Mennonite Home, Souderton. She was the widow of Leonard C. Kaufman, who died on May 2, 1989.

Born in Lyon Station, Berks County, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Jacob Heater, Jr., and Mae (Schadler) Heater and was a graduate of Fleetwood Area High School. Dorothy worked as a Salesperson at the former Fleetwood Shirt Factory for many years. She was also a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Kaufman), wife of Lawrence Morton, DuBois, PA; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Greg Kaufman; and siblings, Geraldine Heater, Ralph Heater, Robert Heater and Edna Mae Heater.

Graveside services and burial in St. John’s Gernant’s Church Cemetery, Leesport, will be held privately by her family. Kindly omit flowers.
