Doris E Eck

Doris E. Eck, 85, of Kutztown, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Kutztown Manor. She was the wife of Walter W. Eck.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Elda (Deisher) Oswald. Doris was a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown and a former member of its senior choir. She was a 1942 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Kutztown. She was employed by the former Kutztown Lingerie for 42 years retiring as manager in 1992. Mrs. Eck was a member of Kutztown and Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliaries. She was a member of East Penn Chapter 336, Order of the Eastern Star, Kutztown.

She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Christine Nichols, Monroe, NC; Son, David B. Eck, Hellertown, PA. There are also Grandchildren, Terry R. Lovell, Kings Mountain, NC, Vikki S. Haney, Smyrna, TN, Joanna Burroughs, Charlotte, NC, and Great Grandchildren, Jaira Gordon, Kelsey Haney, Kipley Haney, Kaleigh Haney, Victoria Lovell, Blake Lovell, and Jessica Lovell. Step Great Grandchildren, Dustin Burroughs, Dana Robinson and a Great Great Granddaughter Haley Robinson. Also surviving is a Sister, Jean (Oswald) Leimbach, West Lawn.

Memorial Services are Saturday, January 30, 2010, 10:30 AM from Saint John’s Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown. Inurnment in Hope Cemetery Kutztown. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
