Ms. Donna L. Conway

Donna Lynn (Shurgalla) Conway, 62, of Breinigsville, PA, passed away on July 18, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest surrounded by her loved ones. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Donna embraced life with a vibrant spirit, making the most of every moment. Her caring nature extended to all those she held dear. She adored spending time with her family, fishing, and going to the beach. Donna had a special affinity for animals, particularly penguins. Her role as a mother and grandmother was paramount, always going above and beyond for her children and grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, including her nieces and nephews.

Donna was known for her incredible work ethic and dedication. For 27 years, she worked at Giant Food Stores, where she quickly rose through the ranks from a bagger to a store accountant and eventually into management. Her colleagues held immense respect and admiration for her, often requesting her assistance in opening new stores due to her exceptional skills and knowledge.

Outside of her professional life, Donna found joy in various hobbies. She loved fishing and spending time outdoors, engaging in playful activities with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she cherished their company. Donna enjoyed trips to the beach, movie outings, gardening, and lending a helping hand to others whenever possible.

Donna Conway is survived by her son, Matthew Pagenhardt, Sr., her sister Debra Figueroa, her brother Rick Shurgalla, her grandchildren Kaleb Pagenhardt, Matthew Pagenhardt Jr., KJ Houston, Christopher Pagenhardt, Jr., Hannah Pagenhardt, Grace Pagenhardt, her niece Alexandria Figueroa, her nephew Nathaniel Figueroa, her nephews Steven Shurgalla and Ryan Shurgalla, her niece Michelle Ealey, and her significant other Anthony Wanamaker.

She was preceded in death by her son Christopher Pagenhardt, Sr., her daughter Jessica Pagenhardt, her father Robert Shurgalla, Sr., her mother Joan Solt, her brother Robert Shurgalla, Jr., and her stepfather Richard Solt.

Donna's educational journey included attending Reinhard Elementary School, Saucon Valley High School, and Northampton Community College.

Donna Lynn Conway will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious joy, caring nature, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones and her work leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those she leaves behind. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Donna's life will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 8:00 p.m., in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.  A visitation will be held immediately prior from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown.
