Donald S. Lilly

Donald S. "Twapper" Lilly, 94, formerly of Bowmanstown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown, PA. He was the widower of the late Millicent "Millie" (Lorah) Lilly, who died in 2014

Born in Slatington, Donald was a son of the late Samuel T. and Estelle (Walters) Lilly. He was a 1949 graduate of Slatington High School where he was an outstanding athlete and was inducted into the Slatington Sports Hall of Fame.

Donald was employed as a Life Insurance Agent by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years. Donald was a pillar in the Bowmanstown community and was known to bring the community together. He enjoyed his family, friends, sports and the great outdoors. Donald touched many young lives and lived a great life! His warm spirit and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Donald is survived by his three children, Duane "Skip" Lilly and his wife, Chris; Brian "Snap" Lilly; and Kathy Lilly-Chrapacz and her husband Terry; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, generosity, and laughter.

Services will be held privately by his family. Burial will be held alongside his wife in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Bowmanstown, PA.
