Donald C Sicher Sr

Donald C. Sicher, Sr., 77, formerly of Mertztown died Friday, November 19, 2010 in Lehigh Center Lower Macungie Township.

Born in West Reading he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Gertrude (Coller) Sicher. Donald worked in the Enamel Department of Caloric Corporation, Topton for 42 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville. Donald served his country honorably during the Korean War, and was a member of the Ray A. Master American Legion Post #217, Topton. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by Twins, Donald C. Jr. husband of Jane S. (Sanders) Sicher of Topton and Donna K. (Sicher) wife of Kurt M. Lebo of Fleetwood; Son, Dale K. husband of Bonita (Bossler) Sicher of Lyons Station; Sisters, Betty J. (Sicher) Gentile of Florida and Carol A. (Sicher) DeLong of Kutztown; Brothers, Wayne P. Sicher of Kutztown and William H. Sicher of Mertztown; Grandchildren, Jeremy Ream, Griffin and Gage Sicher and Matt Lebo; Great Grandchildren, Sianna and Torrin Ream. He was predeceased by Brothers, Jacques and Lee Sicher.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment with military honors provided by the Ray A. Master, Post #217 Topton American Honor Guard, Topton, in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Tuesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home.

The family requests contributions to the Mertztown Rod and Gun Club for Kid’s Fishing Rodeo, Attention: Richard Miller, 515 Centennial Road Alburtis, 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
