Domenick C. Solazzo

Domenick C. Solazzo, 89, of Longswamp Township, died peacefully, Saturday, Sepember 23, 2023, in his residence, surrounded by his family.  He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Keiderling) Solazzo.  They were married October 10, 1994.  Born in Vineland, NJ, Domenick was a son of the late Carmen and Margaret (Forcinito) Solazzo.  Dom honorably and faithfully served our country as a veteran of the United States Army.

Domenick was a graduate of Vineland North High School, Vineland, NJ.

Domenick was a machine operator at Cabot Corporation, Boyertown, for over 38 years until his retirement in 1997.  He was also President of the International Chemical Workers Local 619C Union.  He was a former Police Commissioner in West Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

Domenick and his wife operated a stand at Zern's Farmers Market, Gilbertsville, for over 18 years as a buyer and seller of knives and swords. He also enjoyed flea markets and public autions.

In additional to his wife of nearly 29 years, Dom is survived by two sons, Michael and his wife, Janda Solazzo, Gilbertsville; and Richard and his wife, Debbie, Boyertown.  There are also seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  Other survivors inclue a sister, Rosealie and a brother, Vince.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with The Reverend Robert E. Keiderling, officiating.  Relatives and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
