Dolores M. (Engelhardt) Evans, 91, a resident of Country Meadows, Allentown, and formerly of Emmaus, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020. She was the widow of R. Russell Evans, who died March 3, 2011. The couple was married 57 years.
Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dolores was a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Zaborski) Engelhardt. She was a 1946 graduate of Bound Brook High School, Bound Brook, NJ, and Berkley Business College, Berkley, NJ. Dolores worked as a Hostess for many years at the former Pied Piper Restaurant in Trexlertown. She was an avid golfer with Emmaus Ladies League and a bowler at Parkway Lanes. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and recently, her great-grandson, whom she adored.
Dolores is survived by her children, Cynthia M. (Evans) Hager, companion of Matt Schwartz, Macungie, Carol D. (Evans) Trunzo-Balga, wife of Peter Balga, Bethlehem, David R., husband of Maria (Scarpino) Evans, Strongsville, OH, and Douglas P., husband of Barbara (Jones) Evans, Castle Rock. CO; seven grandchildren, Adam, Krystal, Steven, Samuel, Robert, Cole and Carolynn; and one great-grandson, Michael.
Services for Dolores will be held privately by her family.
