Dolores J Scrip

Dolores J. Scrip, 68, of Stone Road, Alburtis (Longswamp Township, Berks County), died Tuesday, February 8, 2006, in her residence. She was the wife of Stephen Scrip. They were married on September 13, 1958.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and the late Myrle E. (Rudolph) Hess. She was a nurse’s aide at Pennsburg Manor, Pennsburg, for 19 years retiring in 2004. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 515, hosted by Huff’s Church, for over 20 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Huff’s Union Church, Alburtis, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years.

She is survived by Husband, Daughter, Susan M. (Scrip) Kayhart, Alburtis (Longswamp Township); Son, Stephen M. Scrip, Alburtis (Longswamp Township); Sisters, Doris H. (Hess) Benfield, Bechtelsville, Myrle A. (Hess) Batdorf, Pottstown, Nancy L. (Hess) Lord, Alburtis, June B. (Hess) Reed, Oley, Terry A. (Hess) Taylor, Birdsboro, Dawn M. (Hess) Hoffman, Avoca, NY; Brothers, Richard E. Hess, Accokeek, MD, Lee D. Hess, Alburtis, James E. Hess, Pennsburg; 3 Grandsons.

Funeral Services are Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 10:30 AM in Huff’s Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. Interment in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

The family requests contributions to Huff’s Lutheran Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis,  18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
