Mrs. Dolores E. Weidner

Dolores E. "Dorie" (Winter) Weidner, 93, of Allentown, formerly of Peoria, AZ, and Kutztown, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024 in her residence. She was the widow of Dr. Calvin C. Weidner who died on August 6, 1992.

Born in New Cumberland, Cumberland County, PA, Dolores was a daughter of the late Earl R. and Catherine S. (Hopkins) Winter, and was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Kutztown, PA. For many years, Dorie was a seamstress working out of her home, and a homemaker.

Dorie was a former member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Peoria, AZ, She enjoyed playing golf, and while living in Arizona, was a member of the Westbrook Village Golf Club.

Dorie is survived by her three daughters, Cathy L. (Weidner) Covino, Allentown, Shelly D. Weidner, companion of Bernie Molema, Gansevoort, NY, and Robin D. (Weidner) Michel, wife of David Farber, Peoria, AZ; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam and Calvin; and two great-grandchildren, Miles and Ella.

Along with her husband and parents, Dorie was predeceased by her son, Calvin Dean Weidner on June 20, 2021 and sisters, Maureen L. (Winter) Schiffert on July 29, 2014, and Jacqueline C. (Winter) Brown on January 10, 2024.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Dorie's life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Pastor Volker Stoeckmann officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. There will be a luncheon following.
